May's Butterfly Flitty Friend
The White Peacock is here for our May BFF!
As they fly around the yard in our bright South Texas sun, you just can’t miss them. The two dots toward the base of their wings are what gave them the “peacock” name. The wings are lighter in color when closed up, with the darker colors showing when fully opened to their 2 – 2 ½”. Their habitat begins in the RGV and across to Florida, then goes all the way to South America.
This particular one was enjoying a sip of nectar from the Porter Weed and we often see them in the front of The Lamb’s Loom feasting on the lantana!
Pic coming soon!
It's been suggested, and we love the idea, to incorporate the butterfly's host plant color into your creation!

So, here are a few Lamb's Loom shop yarn suggestions for your project! Come by and get yours, or give us a call and we will ship to you...and as always, feel free to dive into your own stash! ☺
