February's Fine
Feathered Friend
Meet the Baltimore Oriole!

We interrupted this guy taking a bath in a backyard stream!
The males all have a full black head that runs down their back, with a beautiful bright orange under covering. They are also easy to distinguish with their very pointy beak!
The adult females can show up in a range of colors! Their yellow underbelly may have a little tinge of orange and their heads sometimes have a bit of brown.
As the Baltimore Orioles migrate through South Texas, during fall and back north in the spring, they can be seen in backyards all over the Valley. They appreciate a good water source during their journey, so you might find them close to ponds, streams and backyard feeding stations munching on an orange, or other fruits.
It's been suggested, and we love the idea, to incorporate and use all the colors represented in the picture above into your creation... flowers, water, leaves!

So, here are a few Lamb's Loom shop yarn suggestions for your project! Come by and get yours, or give us a call and we will ship to you...and as always, feel free to dive into your own stash! ☺
