June's Butterfly Flitty Friend

Meet the Large Orange Sulphur!

Keep an eye out, as they are a year-round resident of South Texas. With their bright orange coloring, they are hard to miss!

Our native vegetation provides them good coverage of our area. Their native host plants include Lantana and Turk’s Cap. They also enjoy hibiscus flowers, which tho’ not native, are a very popular addition to yards in South Texas.

The one pictured here was enjoying a sip from the Dwarf Poinciana bush.

It's been suggested, and we love the idea, to incorporate the butterfly's host plant color into your creation!

So, here are a few Lamb's Loom shop yarn suggestions for your project! Come by and get yours, or give us a call and we will ship to you...and as always, feel free to dive into your own stash! ☺
