A Real Muncher!

Well, with all the red-white-blue this month, we’re going pink this month! 😉

Meet the Pink Ladybug, also known as the Spotted Lady Beetle. Each wing has six black marks on their wings that are oblong in shape.

The Pink Ladybug eats on all kinds of bugs. They even eat the eggs of moths that would otherwise be eating on corn crops. They can eat 60 eggs a day!

However, approximately 50% of their diet is pollen. They do love aphids. Many farmers purchase thousands of Ladybugs to put all over their fields to feast on the aphid population. This means fewer chemicals on our food…thanks for munching away!
