The Seven-spot Ladybug was introduced to North America years ago and has apparently made itself at home all across the country. This time of year you may not see any, as we are experiencing South Texas “winter” temperatures. That means that they are hibernating till things warm up. Ladybugs, as well as other insects, will spend their winter in hollow sticks, like our many sunflowers that have died off for winter. SO, don’t pitch those “dead” sticks…there are just a well disguised bug hotel! 😉

Thanks to all who join in our annual Make-Alongs. It is so fun watching all the wonderful items y’all come up with to add to our Donation Chest throughout the year! Thank you!!! ♥
It's been suggested, and we love the idea
to incorporate the ladybug's host plant color into your creation!
