Zigzagging Through the Summer!

The Six-spotted Zigzag Ladybird is originally from Asia. It has been introduced to the Caribbean and South American and is spreading northward. There was a reported sighting last summer in Harlingen!

As other Ladybirds do, this little one is a voracious consumer of other bugs that infest food crops and backyard areas. The Six-spotted, having just crossed into Texas, is definitely something to keep an eye out for in your yard!
